Real Tech Reviews

-Real reviews, real people-

About Us

We are technology folks, we are geeks, we are Moms and Dads.

The folks behind this site are real System Administrator, Network Engineer types that have spent years of their lives hiding behind server racks making sure sites like this can operate without interruption. We are geeks and beyond that, we are real people. We intend to use our experience to provide you the most enjoyable technology articles possible. As we grow, we will generate many in-depth tutorials that will help you complete very interesting and meaningful projects.

Open Source? OPEN SOURCE!

We promote open source technologies as it is the future of computing. That is not to say we are against proprietary systems. You HAVE to be able to charge for your product, however we should be able to see the underlying code, and we should ideally be able to learn from each others code. You will find many open source projects here and we will make honest efforts to generate the script and coding necessary to help you automate the projects herein.

With that said, speak up if you’d like to contribute! Moreover, if you have ideas on items to review or suggestions for interesting articles regarding technology of old; or technology of new, please hit the Contact tab and reach out to us!

If you have technical acumen and enjoy writing honest articles, please reach out to us. We want to attract people who are passionate about open source technologies and are subject matter experts in their area of expertise. If you are a stay at home mom or dad, we NEED your valuable experience using household technologies. Tech isn’t just about computers and Raspberry Pis, it’s ANYTHING that is engineered to make our lives better and easier. Your direct experience with the very items in your house is what thousands of people daily look to us for answers for.

I’d like to leave you here with a quote that effectively changed my life:

The difference between knowledge and wisdom: Knowledge is knowing you are crossing a one-way street. Wisdom is knowing to look both ways before you cross it.
